Today I present you a girl band from Sweden! They are playing this wednesday in Mannheim (Germany). Maybe I'll go and see them.

This is not a pop band! It's a real metal band! Metal from Sweden! Yeah!

CRUCIFIED BARBARA are Ida Eveleye (Bass), Mia Coldheart (lead vocal, lead guitar), Klara Force (guitar, backing vocals) and Nicki Wicked (drums, backing vocals).

A looong long time ago when we still had good music television (meaning at least semi-good music all night long) and I was still young and able to stay up all night, my tired eyes saw this gem of music video. I was mesmerized (and tired).  It's not only the song which is really awesome, but the collage-like video really got me. So while browsing through my iTunes library yesterday I rediscovered Doves and realized that I only own The Last Broadcast from 2005 and neeeed to check out their newer albums.

Yup, it's that time of the week again. Today, I would like to share an awesome band from Perth, Western Australia, which I found via Discovr Music (get it here).

Tuesday Tune: Rival Sons

Rival Sons

So this week I present you a band from L.A.

My husband showed me some songs and now I'm in love! 

Scott Holiday, Mike Miley and Robin Everhart founded the Band Rival Sons , later singer and songwriter Jay Buchanan joined the band. 

They sound like Led Zeppelin, Free, The Hives and The White Stripes.

Singer Jay Buchanan sounds like Free singer Paul Rodgers and sometimes even like Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant. 

Rival Sons self-released their first album in the Internet: Before the Fire (2009)
Their second album is called Pressure & Time (2011)
The third record was released in Germany today!!! We bought it and listened to it immediately!!! It's called Head Down (2012).

If you liked their first album, then you should buy Coexist as well. To me, it sounds like a sequel of the first one, which is a good thing, because I loooove the first album.
